Dragon Fruit Porridge with Caramelized Citrus

INGREDIENTS

Rolled oats – 1 cup
Milk (plant-based or dairy) – 2 cups
Dragon fruit (white or red) – 1 piece
Orange (segments or diced) – 1 large
Sliced almonds – 2 tablespoons
Chia seeds – 1 tablespoon
Honey or agave syrup (optional) – 1 teaspoon
Ground cinnamon (optional) – to taste

Instructions

1. Cook the oats:
– In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat. – Add the oats and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring constantly until thick and creamy.

2. Preparar la fruta:
– Pela la pitahaya y córtala en triángulos conservando la piel.
– Pela la naranja y separa los gajos o macedonia.

3. Assembly:
– Serve the hot oats in individual bowls. – Top with the dragon fruit, orange segments, and sprinkle with sliced almonds. – Add the chia seeds and a pinch of cinnamon, if desired. – Sweeten with honey or agave syrup to taste.
